Ria
The heroine of Fatal Twilight, Ria is a young woman
who deals with a lot of prejudice. She has the ears of
a Nu'itat, but is short like a human and so is
discriminated against by both. Though the famous
Nu'itat hero, Leosymus, has raised her as his
daughter, her true origins are not known. Her one
true friend is Tyr, a Gul'ijin, who is supposedly under
the control of Leosymus. Ria is mysteriously
incapable of using magic though she loves to read
about it and help Tyr to learn.

Tyr
Tyr is a Gul'ijin, a race more commonly known as
demons. Though he is quiet and keeps mostly to
himself, Tyr is highly and sometimes violently protective
of Ria who has been his best friend since they were
infants. Supposedly controlled by Leosymus through his
collar, Tyr is able to walk around the human and Nu'itat
realm only by acting as a slave.

promoted to the status of Demon Keeper, it is his

with minimum damage to everything around them.
Highly loyal to the Nu'itat government and holding a
deep belief in the inherent evil of demons, Matt has
disliked Tyr since he was first summoned into the
Nu'itat realm when he and Ria were young. He has
been trained to use powerful magics for his job,
though his understanding of magic is limited.

Guard Treedal
One of the seven guards that rotates through shifts
guarding the gate of Leo's manor. Treedal was once
a guard at the Jimyrian palace and thus well trained,
but he lost his job due to his inability to get along with
the other guards. Quiet, contemplative, and
antisocial, Treedal can be a fierce warrior when his
fighting skills are needed.

Kiri
A fire sprite befriended by Leosymus sometime in the
past. She now works in Leo's manor cooking,
cleaning, raising Tyr and Ria, and helping Leo with
his studies. She is considered more of a family friend
than a servant, and helps willingly.
